User restirctions

Hi Everyone,

I have a few computers running Windows XP Pro and a few very naughty users.
They keep installing software and messing with the settings, causing me a
lot of headache.

Could anyone advise me what is the best approach, fastest and easiest
approach to restrict their permissons?

All users only need access to the internet and MS Office applications.

And last but not least, could anyone odvice me on a good and fairly cheap
software for remote management of computers?

If at all possible do not allow the users to be local administrators on
their computers. If you have an Active Directory domain you can use Group
Policy centrally including Software Restriction Policies to greatly restrict
what a user can do on their domain computer. For non domain computers the
free Shared Computer Toolkit can accomplish much of the same for SP2
computers. You already have a lot of free built in remote management of XP
Pro computers with Remote Desktop or Computer Management which can be used
to access remote computer assuming you are an administrator on the target
