User profiles

Hi hope someone can help me - sure its a very easy question.

I had to reconfigure my computer ointo a new domain, and on my local drive
in Documents and Settings, I now have the original User profile Alex, plus a
new one called Alex.000.

Of course all my settings etc are in the original one.

Can someone explain if iut is possible for me to get my computer to revert
to its original, or how do I move all the settings over?.

I dont really want to have to set up all my applications again

Log on as the local administrator. Use System Properties, Advanced, User
Profiles. Copy the old profile to your new account.
