User profiles

HELP,

I had to reinstall W2K on my C drive. Before I did this I
moved the user folders to the E drive. Now when one of my
kids tries to logon, an error window comes up
saying "profile not found. not enough disk space. contact
your netadmin" and a 30sec timer starts to countdown.

what did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?

thanx

It would help to have more information. Is Windows 2000 looking on C: or E:
for these profiles? Did you copy the profiles back to C:? Does the
appropriate drive have a reasonable amount of free space left?

I could not find the error message you gave, although it would help to have
the exact text. I did find "User Profile May Become Corrupted After You
Perform a Clean Windows 2000 Installation" at
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=296834

Some interesting articles for XP are '"Windows cannot load your profile
because it may be corrupted" error message when you try to log on to Windows
XP' at
<<http://support.microsoft.com/?id=318011>>
and "How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile" at
<http://support.microsoft.com/?id=811151>
I realize that these are may not immediately relevant, but they may be
instructive.
