User Profiles Gripe

Is it possible to disable User Profiles altogether so that there is absolutely one desktop folder, Start Menu folder, Programs Folder, etc.......


I get annoyed when I try to figure out if a Shortcut is in "All Users" or "Owner"


I just don't want to deal with user-specific settings and special folders.
