Looking in the 'System Properties|Advanced|User Profiles', I've
noticed the size of my user profile getting larger and larger. Does
this impact on boot up performance? As I've noticed my boot up is
taking longer to finish (I know there are many factors involved in
that). And is it possible to reduce the size of your user profile?
I've noticed especially with my work computer that the unused
'Administrator' profile has a tiny size of a few meg, while mine has
blown out to 130 meg. Not even my data is that big, what is stored in
a user's profile that would make it huge?

Your Desktop.
Your My Documents folder.
Your My Pictures folder.
Your My Music folder.
Your Temporary Internet Files.
Any backgrounds you set using Internet Explorer.
Your personal registry entries (made when you configure your applications.)
Your Internet Explorer favorites.
etc...

130MB is piddly.

You could use something like Sequoia to view files in c:\Documents and
Settings.

Newsgroupies, thank you so much and indeed a good link. The great increase
in size of my profile was a bit of a mystery to me, for a while anyway.
Thanks again guys...

Regards,
Winux P.
