User profile corrupt - trying 811151 fix - question

I am ready to copy files from a corrupted profile to a new user profile I
created. Microsoft's article 81115 says to copy all all files and folders
under the old username except NTuser.dat, NTuser.dat.log, and NTuser.ini.

The only NT files I see under my old user name are:
ntuser (Configuration settings 1 KB)
ntuser.dat (Text Document 1 KB)
NTUSER (DAT File 4,864 KB)

I see that I have the ntuser.dat file, but are the other two actually the
same as the files identified in the article, and should I assume that I
should not copy them? Or are NTuser.ini and NTuser.dat.log found somewhere
else? I want to get it right the first time, if possible.

Thank you.

Those three files you've identified are the files you should
not copy over to the new user account. For your own peace of
mind, do the following:

Go to Control Panel and double click Folder Options.
Click on the View tab.
In the Advanced Settings box, remove the check mark from the
box next to "Hide extension for known file types".
Click OK.
Go back and open up the folder in Documents and Settings for
the profile you're trying to copy.
You should now see the entire file names displayed.
Note: You can now repeat the above procedure to put the check
mark back so that file extensions are hidden.

Good luck
