I'm a wee bit confused with how to use various users on XP.

I've got an ADMIN account password protected and two users with
'limited' access.

I assume all programs have to be loaded via ADMIN but I have a slight
problem with programs that have different settings for each user.

ZoneAlarm will not allow me to alter the notify of update period.

Another program shows on the task bar but does not work properly
unless I close it and restart the program.

Is there a procedure I should adopt?

Software designed for XP allows you to install either 'for all users' or
'just me'.
Otherwise you get the problem where, on multi-user systems, some programs
will not be available to all users (their shortcuts will not be visible on
all user's desktops). I solved that problem by having only one user account
and installing everything on that. XP's multi-user environment, where you can
have several accounts, will only work properly when all applications are
designed for XP. Until then it will continue to be a confusing mess for
multi-account systems.
