Bruce Garlock

I am the administrator on my home computer. I am a foster parent with lots
of foster kids in the house. I have user accounts set up for each of them,
each with their own password. Until 2 days ago I was under the impression
that if they were identified as "limited" users that they could not change
their own passwords. Unfortunately, one of them was able to do just that in
the conventional easy mannner of going to Control Panel/User Accounts and
modify her own password.

I DO NOT want them to be able to do this. What do I need to do so that
their passwords are ONLY changable by ME?

Thanks, Bruce

Bruce;
Go to Control Panel and open "Performance and Maintenance"
Click "Administrative Tools"
Double click "Computer Management"
Click + by "Local Users and groups"
Click "Users" folder
Double click the user.
Check as desired
Click OK
Repeat for other users.

Many Thanks!!

The order of your 'clicks' was a little off, but with your guidance I
managed to find the checkbox and fix each limited user so that they can't
change their password. Thanks again!!!

Bruce

Your welcome Bruce.
Glad to hear my help was close enough.
