User Name Length Limitation

Is there anyway to expand the 20 character length
limitation for the username in Windows 2000?
 
I would not even exceed 14 characters for such names since
some NetBIOS things will stop working if you reach 15 or
16 (computer account name need an extra "$").

Even if you can do it, it's a bad idea. Use the "full name"
properties to explain the names and give each user a short,
easy to type name.
