I've asked previously and cannot get an answer to my
question or I'm not asking correctly... my husband's
name was accidentally logged in when he purchased my
computer. This was when the stupid computer store clerk
started up my Windows XP on my laptop. I've added my
name as a user but want my husband's name removed from my
system. I keep getting this message: "Documents and
Settings is a Windows system folder and is required for
Windows to run properly. It cannot be moved or renamed."

I think that's a bunch of crap. There must be a way to
remove my husband's name and replace with mine. Every
time I turn my computer on, his name appears after I
control-alt-delete to activate. Help me get rid of it.
Thanks.

You will need to create a new user account, with the name as you want it to
appear in the folder name. Then you have to copy the old user profile
information to the new profile.

Copy a User Profile:

Open System in Control Panel. On the User Profiles tab, and under Profiles
stored on this computer, click the user profile you want to copy, and then
click Copy To.

In the Copy To dialog box, under Copy profile to, type the location for the
new profile, or click Browse to select the path.
Click Change to open the Choose User dialog box, click a new user from the
Names list, and then click Add. The new user name will appear in Add Name.
Click OK to add the user as a new user profile on your computer.

Note: You must be logged on as an administrator to the local computer to
copy user profiles. To open a Control Panel item, click Start, point to
Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the appropriate icon.

How to Copy User Data to a New User Profile

Note: You cannot copy to or from an account that you are logged in on.
Either create a 3rd account, temporarily, or use the built in Administrator
account.

Try this:
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Look under Settings to add or remove users
(also look under environment variablesSettings)
