User Name and Pswd

Why does this keep asking me for a user name and pswd? What would it be? I
don't use this for email, but I come in and clean it out. I tried to send an
email to my Yahoo account, but it just sits in the outbox. This is very
frustrating.
 
There is no need to use Windows Mail if you are happy with
Yahoo's web-based Mail.

US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access.
Windows Mail handles POP mail but not webmail.

If you want Yahoo mail handled in Windows Mail, pay Yahoo to get their
premium "Mail Plus" service:

and use the special settings for that service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

Windows Mail is meant for POP mail. You can get a free POP account
from your ISP or from Gmail.
