user logon name has been use

Hi there,

I has 1 AD and recently 1 user account has disappear - not
sure why? I search the whole domain and cannot find the
user account. So I decide to recreate the user account.

I can't create the user account will AD Users and Computer
console cause I receive an error message "the user name
already in use".

However, thanks to Jerold Schulman, I can create the user
account using net user command utility.

I found out that this is due to cn problems. I try to give
the user logon name ([email protected]) for windows 2000 but
it give the same error. For pre-windows 2000 the user
logon name is ok.

Can anyone help/tell me why/how to reuse the cn name?
