user logging into new profile

I am running TSE on W2K server advanced and I have one user that all of a
sudden when he connected and logged in a new file was created called
"clients name.domain name" I have have deleted this profile but a new one
gets created when the client loggs back on.
I need to use his orginal profile it has all his desktop information and
policies applied.
Note-
Client was working fine until he changed his network password.

Any help would be great

Check the event log and see if errors have been recorded.
