User locked out of shared directorys on DC

I have a user that is randomly being locked out of shared folder on my PDC.
The client is a win98 machine and the DC and secondary DC are both win2k
server with sp4 installed. From the event logs it seems the client is
either attempting to use a incorrect user or pass at some point. Client is
mapped to the share on the server. I have swapped out the client machine
once, removed and recreated the user in AD, rechecked the permissions on the
share with no luck. Part of the time it works fine and I cannot tell what
is triggering the lockout. Any ideas?
 
im having the same problem too. i posted my question for a while now still
no answers :(
