User List

Bob Phillips

I have just got a new latop, and when I do a Windows-L, it doesn't list all
users for me to logon to another, but throws a dialog that says that the
computer is locked, and only the current logged-on user or an adinistrator
can unlock it.

How do I get back to the other way?

TIA

Windows key+L is the keyboard shortcut for Lock Computer. What were you
running on the other PC?

Did you join a domain? The help page says that Winkey + L locks your
computer if you are connected to a network domain, or switch users if you
are not.

Windows key + L
Locks your computer if you are connected to a network domain, or switches
users if you are not connected to a network domain.

Well, as the system is behaving normally, I can only surmise that you'd
have to repeat whatever steps you took to induce the abnormal behavior
that you had before.

Thanks Ayush. Obvious when you are told <G>.

I got some error message at first when I tried to select the option, I had
to do something else but I cannot remember what it was. Once in, I just
enabled the 'User Fast User Switching' and I have it exactly as I wanted it.

I think you got some message about Offline Files. Anyway, you are welcome.
