User-level security has locked all my Access DBs- HELP!

After trying to install user-level security for one database on my computer,
all of my databases now require logon and password. AND, the logon and
password that I created as the administrator DOES NOT WORK!
When I copy the databases and put them on my bosses computer, they open just
fine- without asking for logon.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Security is a complex topic and most people don't get it right the first
time.

Depending on version, and depending on whether you used the security
wizard...
-you may not have created a password for the administrator - it may be
blank.
-you are currently joined by default to your secure workgroup (provided you
actually create a new one when you secured your mdb).

Use the workgroup administrator (Tools, security menu) to rejoin
system.mdw - the one that ships with Access (do a search first to locate
it).

Once you rejoin a pristine system.mdw, you won't be prompted for a
username/password.

If you want to implement security, download and study

Although the whitepaper is old, it contains information to help you
understand security.

Thank you Joan!
I just rejoined the system and am able to open my databases without a
problem. I definitely will read the information you suggested before trying
to implement the user-level security again. One question- the link for the
download is for Access 2000 - I have 2003, but some of the network users have
2000. Will this information be the same for 2003 versions?
Thanks,
Lisa

Yes it will. You should test things in 2000 to ensure all is working as
expected.
