User ID Setup

I have some questions about setting up UserIDs in Windows XP Pro

FIrst, I am going to be using a Windows 2003 Domain Controller. Therefore,
I assume that my local computer name should be the same as the domain
controller - right?

Second - when I am setting up users localally on the workstation, there
appears to be be multiple ways to set them up - I can use User Accounts under
Control Panel, or I can go under Administrative Tools, Computer
Management,System Tools, and Local Users and Groups. However, it appears
that if I user User Accounts, the user is automatically created with
Administrative privliges, which I do not want.

Third, I am also going into the local user policy to change the logon to
require the three finger salute and blind username and password setting (like
Windows NT), but it does not appear to be working. I am making the changes
as Administrator and the changes are accepted, but it still shows those goofy
pictures witht he user names when I restart.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but if you're going to be joining
these computers to an XP domain why mess with local settings? Join them to
the domain and manage settings from Active Directory.
