User ID not catching for one not all

I have a database that catches the user's network ID when the main form
opens. It has worked and is working for others currently. However, I have a
user for who it is not working and I cannot figure out why. Has anyone come
across this before?

Update:

It's now not working for me as well which I assume means everyone. If I
haven't changed anything would it be something related to the IT department
doing something or can the programming mess up?

After some jumping around in the database and it's BE I found that the BE is
opening in "Read Only" which isn't allowing me to add new records to the
tables. Any ideas on why it's doing this?

Care to post your code? We can't see it from here so about all anyone can say
is "there is something wrong".

It's something to do with the folder security rights. Thanks though.
