User ID exist already!

Hi there,

I using Win 2000 Server as DC. I created few thousand
users - with no problems.

Today 1 user complain cannot login. After checking I find
out that the user login name is missing so I try to re-
enter back but an error message say that the user login
name already exist!

I use the search function of AD to search the user login
but can't it. I even search 1 by 1 also cannot find the
user name.

I delete the user account and re-create back but still the
same problems.

Any ideas? Or any tools to fix it?

Check other objects with the same name (computers, printers, etc...).

I check all the objects already - I 'm 100% sure no such
objects (user, computer, printer!!!)

1) May be you try to use one of the following? They are reserved..

Creator group serve
Enterprise domain controller

2) Check "User logon name (Pre Windows 2000)". The name have to be unique. In additional check all pre-windows names in your domain

3) Check names of your groups and OUs
