User-Icon Disappears right after windows update on fresh install

Every time I have reformatted, then did a whole update...
My darn user icon disappears... I've NEVER found out what
the problem is... it's not in the microsoft database
(Unless it just doesn't want to be found) and it has
occured on both windows xp pro(current os) and XP home. It
does it right after I do a fresh format than update XP...

Sorry, no free email support. It's also a really bad idea to put your
real email address in a Usenet post or on messageboards. It will be
harvested by spambots.

Are you making a user account with the same name as the computer? This
could cause a problem. Try making a second user account with a totally
different name. Does that work?
