Jim

Right after I Log on to my laptop using W2k, I get this
Message box that states:

"Windows did not load your roaming profile and is
attempting to log you on with your local profile. Changes
to the profile will not be copied to the server when you
log off. Windows did not load your profile because a
server copy of the profile folder already exists that does
not have the correct security. Either the current user or
the administrators group must be the owner of the folder.
Contact your network administrator."

The message disappears after 15 seconds and the computer
works fine but I want to get rid of this message box.

I am the administrator of this machine and I don't know
how to correct this problem.

Need help!!!!!

Hi.

To switch between a roaming and local user profile

Open System in Control Panel (click Start, click Control Panel, and then
double-click System)

On the Advanced tab, under User Profiles, click Settings.

Under Profiles stored on this computer, click the user profile you want to
change, and then click Change Type.
Click Roaming profile or Local profile.

Thanks,

Seetal
