user accounts

There are several ways but the most obvious would be to make all other
accounts but your own a limited account.
 
what are the other ways,as i have tried the limited
account way without sucsess
 
I should have prefaced it by saying, if you have XP Pro there are other
ways. If you have XP Pro, you could use the Group Policy Editor to assign
other users to a specific group and specify what the group can and cannot
do. There is a learning curve with this. For information about the Group

If you have Home Edition, it's simpler to use third party software to define
what users can or cannot do.
