user accounts

I have 3 user accounts on my PC. I would like to delete
one of them, but I can't find any info in 'help' to let
me know what the affects of doing this are. Can anyone
offer advice on what will happen to any programs/files in
the account that I wish to delete?

When you delete the account from user accounts in the control panel, it will
ask you if you want to save files in that account.

Look in the all users\program file to see if the programs
in your user account that you want to delet also appear
there. If not drag and drop them to the all users\programs
folder. Right click start then click explore all users.
You can open two instances of this explorer window to
allow you to drag and drop from one to the other. Simply
drag the open screen to about half the screen size and
then do the same for the second one and you can compare,
move, delete or add at your whim. If you need more help

If you delete an account one question you get asked is whether you want
to delete its files. So you can retain them, and subsequently copy any
away that you find you need. Or do that in advance, so that unwanted
things get cleanly tidied up.
