We have multiple family members who use my father in laws computer. He has
always used the "Administrator" user login and has everything of his attached
to that profile. I went in this evening and added our 4 users with limited
access and 1 account with administrator priveleges. For some reason, now the
Administrator user does not appear in the list of users at the logon screen.
It's almost like it disappeared! If I do in using my login (with admin
rights) and try to create another "Administrator" named user, it say's one
already exists! Please help!!! The Administrator user has to show up in the
morning when he comes to the office to login!!!!!

It's normal that Administrator account doesn't appear in windows xp logon
screen except in the safe mode but normally you will not see it,so turn on
your pc and when you reach the logon screen press ctrl+alt+del the logon
screen will change to a window ask for a username and password write
administrator in the useename and the password of administrator
press enter or ok

and that's it

Hi,

It is normal that once an account with administrator privileges has been
created, the default administrator account is hidden. It is not meant for
day to day use, he really should be using and administrator account of his
own. If this is WinXP Pro, the admin account can be accessed by hitting
ctrl+alt+delete twice at the logon screen and then typing it into the box.
If this is WinXP Home, then the account can now only be accessed in Safe
mode (in which case he'll have no choice but to use a different account).

You can force the admin account to show on the Welcome screen through
TweakUI, or you can use the edit here:
