User Accounts

I want to go directly to windows since I am the only one using the computer.
On my user account, one account is named ASP.netmachine A.. Limited Account.
What is this? Also I don't know were to find my username and password to
change to direct start up to desktop. My user name is computer
administrator, guess that is what I use, but what about the password? Thank
you for any help. I never had user accounts before.

Thank you very much, but what about the username and password. I have no
idea what it is. Can you tell me what or where it is please. The web sites
were useful.

To go right to the Desktop when you boot...

1. Click Start and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type control userpasswords2 and then click OK.
3. Clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer" check box, and then click Apply.
4. In the Automatically Log On window, type the password in the Password
box, and then retype the password in the Confirm Password box.
5. Click OK to close the Automatically Log On window, and then click OK to
close the User Accounts window.

Nort: If you do not have a password, like me, leave the Password box blank.

There are a couple of ways to find your username.
Start | Run | Type or paste: %userprofile% | Click OK |
In the Address bar you will see...
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Whatever Your Name is...

Open a command prompt...
Start | Run | Type: cmd | Click OK |
In the command prompt window type: set |
Hit your Enter key | In the list you will see USERNAME=

Do not use control userpasswords2 to create accounts if you are using XP
Home!!!

It worked, thank you very much. I found my username, followed your
instructions and all went well. Newsgroups people are the best friends in
the world. Thank you again.
