Is there a way of recovering files contained within 'My
Documents' if you were to delete the user account?

I tried a system restore which did not seem to work. I
was silly not to back up these files and have lost all of
my music, documents, pictures etc. and could use getting
them back!

Any suggestions?

If you deleted the files, along with the account, you may be out of luck.
There are third party applications that can sometimes recover deleted files.
