User Accounts

My girlfriend is the only user on her computer. Recently, for some unknown
reason, the user select screen comes up on startup. It also appears
sometimes when the system has been idle for awhile. Her account is the only
option.

It used to go directly to the desktop when you turned it on. Now it goes to
the user select screen.

She runs xp home, is a single user and is the administrator.

Any ideas?

Hi,

For the screensaver problem, go to the control panel/display/screensaver tab
and uncheck the option to display the welcome screen on resume.

Then, click start/run, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes)
and click ok. Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click
apply/ok and follow the prompts to set up a default logon.
