user accounts and identities

I'm completely confused and amazed that XP help cannot educate me. My
question: I have created my admin account and the proper mail settings for
my comcast mail using outlook express. Two different identities and email
accounts. Now, I want the same email accounts to be available by another
user account. Is this possible? My spouse and I share the same email
accounts but would like to access them from either user account. Must I
delete the created email identity from the admin account and then create it
on her user account? Totally confused and could use a good tutorial or help
article but cannot find squat and am frustrated. Any help would be
appreciated!

Hey,

Since each User Account should have their own personal settings, which
includes email accounts/settings etc, you will now need to set the OE folder
for both the OE in each User account by yourself.

To do this, 1st, logon to your Admin Account and run OE. Tools > Options >
Maintainence > Store Folder. Have that store folder set to another location
instead of the User Profile's path. Set it to C:\Inbox.dbx

Once done with it, log off and login to the 2nd account. Do the same above
and set it to the same Store folder.

For your Email POP settings, I believe that you will need to export and
import back the Email settings. However, after doing the above, both will
use the same file to store your email, means you will be able to see the
same email when logon to Admin account or the other account.

Hope this helps.

One note on doing this: Be careful to close Outlook Express before switching
user accounts using fast-user switching. If one user leaves it open while
not active, and the other user opens OE as well, the shared mail file
repository will be damaged beyond repair.
