User Accounts Access Denied errors

I recently upgraded the hardware on my pc and installed xp sp2. During the
install I created user accounts for my wife and kids. Everything was okay
with all of the accounts, until I started installing applications and games.
Since I have loaded quite a few different pieces of software all 3 user
accounts have about 10 "Error: Access Denied" errors popup each time they log
in. Also each one of the user accounts detects the mouse as newly installed
at each login. WHat can I do to fix this?

A dumb-but-will-probably-work answer:

Temporarily change all the accounts to Compter Administrators, then log on
each account. Once you have completed this process for all users, change
them back to Limited accounts.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunatley it didn't work this time. I did as you
suggested, but no good. I spoke with a Microsoft Support Professional in the
chatroom on the microsoft website a couple of days ago. It took him about 30
minutes to say that maybe the registry was corrupted and that he could not
help me. He gave me another phone number to cal that gave a another number
that I had called before sitting in the chatroom. I have been looking for
information about this error pointing to a corrupt registry, but cannot find
anything. Any ideas
