user account restrictions

I just set up my kids PC with XP home (up gtraded from
ME). I have given them each there own limited user
account. Is there any way to further restrict what each
account can and can't do? For example, I do not want any
of the accounts to have internet access so I want
to "lock out" Internet explorer. Can I do this? Thanks

Hi,

Yes, this can be done, just remove permissions on the Internet Explorer
folder for the limited user accounts while in Safe mode.

You might also be interested in this new utility from MVP Doug Knox. Go to
www.dougknox.com. and click on WinXP Securities. Download the WindowsXP
Security Console utility.

Your in luck. :)

MVP Doug Knox has just finished creating a slick little utility that easily
restricts access to just about any program you wish, plus much, much more.
Very intuitive, easy to use and it works on XP Pro as well as XP Home
version. Take a look at it here.

Now where the hell did I get "securities" from?

Must've been too many years of referring people to the Win9x security tweak
to force a valid logon. Old habits die hard.
