User Account Login

I am having a problem with one of the Limited User
accounts on my XP Home machine. Every time the user
attempts to logon, he gets the logon sound, but the
machine then hangs up, displaying only his icon from the
welcome screen. The only way to clear this is to shut
down the computer using the power button. I have tried
system restore to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
