User Account Gone Bad

After recovering from a malware attack I found that when I click om my user
account icon I get a black screen with "16 bit ms-dos subsystem.
C:\Windows\system32\mshta.exe. C:\Windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system
file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications"
Now I can't delete the Guest account, which is where I got the malware in the
first place, and I'm afraid I won't be able to install new programs. How do
I get my user account working again? Thanks!

You can't delete the Guest account because it is a system account. The Guest
account is not meant to be used when you are feeling hospitable; it is used
when someone without an account on the local system wants to log on and do
some work. It runs with elevated privileges and that is why it is normally
disabled for security purposes. Instead, create a user account called
"Visitors" or the like for friends who want to temporarily use your
computer.

I'm not sure your computer is completely clean. Go through these malware
removal steps, including scanning with either Sysclean or Multi_AV and
Ewido:

Do all the prep/finishing work and follow instructions to do all scans in
Safe Mode.

Once the computer is really clean, try to access your user account. If you
still can't get in, it may be corrupted. Create a new user account and try
that. Disable Guest.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional computer repair
shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
