How do I make ISP access available to my Guest Account? The XP Help and
Support tutorial describes the Guest Account as giving the guest access to
the computer to "check E-Mail, browse the internet....etc.", but when I log
in as Guest there is no access to either of my ISPs. What am I missing
here? The answer I previously got to this was that the guest account does
not have internet access by default, which really leaves my question open.

I think you have to give the guest account rights to use the Internet. You would do that when you
are logged on as a Administrator.

Well I turned my guest account on and rebooted then logged on to that account and I had access to
the Internet. I also had access to some programs I would not want the guest account to have so I'm
going to fix this right away. So I don't know what to tell you. Have you turned the account on?? Or
are you just checking before you do.

When logged in as Guest, I could access my dial-up connections, but modem
would not activate, even though Device Manager said it was working properly.
User Accounts options for a "Guest" account were On/Off or change picture,
and that's all. Solved the quandary by setting up a Limited Account under
another name - then there was no problem with access. Strange things do
happen...who knows, this problem might be related to some other program. It
would have been simpler if Guest Account worked as advertised, but it's no
big deal. Thanks for your help, anyway.
