Dear sir/madam
May I know what is different between usenet and
disscussion board.?Can you guide me?
Thanks

The usenet is basicly free newsgroup servers that almost anyone can access.
Discussion groups are usually web based groups and sometimes private or user
log in only.
Both serve the same purpose.

Just to add to purplehaz's excellent answer, here is some a basic How-To
about Usenet:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
some links to information about newsgroups to broaden your posting
pleasure!

Discussion boards are usually confined to a single server (and usually
these days web based) which you can only access from there - eg the ones
most makers like Symantec maintain for discussion on their products.
Usenet is a vast number of servers all around the world (probably 10000
or so; usually every ISP has one of its own), that carry 'news groups'
on particular topics. Something over 40000 such groups on typical
servers. These pass messages between the servers so that any message
appears on any server in the world that carries the group, within an
hour or so at most. This group is one such and is best accessed
through a news reader like Outlook Express, though MSoft do supply a web
interface to it - which causes more trouble than it is worth at the
moment. Although many people connect to the servers at MSoft
(msnews.microsoft.com) there are also a lot who access through local
servers around the world
