Use of Word Art in PowerPoint

Is there some way I can import the complete old WordArt into PowerPoint 2007?
Somehow or other I was able to do it for Publisher but I can only view that
in B&W unless I go to "Print Preview". The old WordArt was a much used
feature in both PowerPoint and Publisher. I would greatly appreciate being
able to use it in 2007.

I don't know a way to get back the old WordArt in PowerPoint (I myself like
the new version better), but Word 2007 still uses the old WordArt, so you
can create your WordArt there and copy it to PowerPoint (Text will be still
editable there). Or use PowerPoints drawing and new WordArt tools to fake
the old effects.
