Use of "Edit Message" Mode in Outlook Email Messages

When you use the Edit Message command on the Edit menu when reading and
modifying an incoming message, is there a command, key stroke, etc. that
will allow you to "exit" the edit mode? Currently I have to use the command,
edit message, save message close message then open message to see message in
"normal" mode.

I do this frequently because I frequently receive messages with web links
that are not active until I use this procedure and add a space or line feed
after the "link."

I am using Outlook 2000
Thanks,

John

If you just hit your "Esc" key to close the message when you're done
editing, Outlook will ask if you want to save changes to the message. Click
on "Yes" and the message will close. You can then reopen the message to see
the updated version and continue whatever further actions you want
(forwarding, saving, etc.) on the message.

Thanks SgtRich,

It's close to what I do now, but I can now do it with key strokes.
I'm still looking for a way to do it with out having to close and reopen the
message
