Use Instant Messanger with LAN

I am a part of LAN network and we wish to communicate with each other by a
kind of messanger use in LAN network for sending and receiving messages,
files, voice, etc. Please let me know how to do that ?? and by the way some
of the windows in this LAN are win 98.

service" if you got W2k/2k3 Server.
