Use Group Policy to disable services...

Hi All

I want to use group policy to control what services are set to manual, etc
on a handful of PCs. No problem there

However, the services aren't listed on the 2K server machine I run Group
Policy console from (Its XP services like IPsec and uPnP I want to stop).
It's going to be really tricky to run the Group Policy console from an XP
machine due to how I access these machines (Firewalls citrix, etc, etc)

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

C.

You could import the Windows XP / Windows 2003 ADM files. See here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/xpmanaged/31_xpapc.mspx

There's a link to download all the adm files eg for Windows 2003.
Couldn't find it quickly. But the above link has the steps to import
ADMs to a 2000 Domain

Thanks, but that doesn't help. The Group Policy to disable services only
shows services on the machine the MMC is running on. I resorted to remote
controlling an XP desktop to get what I wanted.

Thanks
