use address book in word

Is there a work around to use my address book in Word 2002 when I am usimg
Outlook Express? I am getting the message that I have to log on to
Microsoft Exchange.

No, there is not. Word can only work with address books that are MAPI
compliant and registered as such with the Windows. Outlook Express does not
use MAPI, so Word can't "see" it. You'd need to import your address book into
Outlook.
