USB2 PCI Card

My system is a 2.0GHZ PC with 768MB of RAM. I have loaded
all critical updates and am using XP Home with SP1. The
problem is that when i install a USB2 PCI card the system
freezes, usually after about 5 minutes. I have tried a
couple of different cards with the same result. The
drivers appear to load without problem and the USB2 ports
operate effectively up to the time the system freezes. At
this point I have to power down to restart Windows.
Thinking it migh be a power problem I have tried
different PSU's without success.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you try the card in a different slot?

Install SP1 for XP. It contains the updated drivers that
you will need to install USB 2.0 on your PC.
