I'm trying to install a parallel printer to a laptop with usb ports
only.
However, USB001 option is not there for port selection.

What do I need to do? Thanks.

This is for a refurbished laptop, with no documentation, that belong
to someone else. I'm trying to help while visiting.
If you've got nothing helpful to say, don't. Thanks for wasting my
time.

Next time give more details with the initial post.
You are such a bundle of fun, I trust you'll enjoy wasting your time
trying to find what is no doubt a very simple solution.

Unless a USB device has been installed on the laptop there will not be a USB001
available.
How are you connecting the printer to the laptop, is it a USB to Parallel cable?
What make and model of printer is it?

There are parallel to USB adapters available everywhere. They do not always
work as advertised and it is not always clear if it is a software or
hardware problem. It may be less expensive in the long run to replace the
printer. Caveat emptor.

Just what I did. Everything is in working order.
