Two of my four USB ports are non-responsive. I recently
have updated to a cable modem which runs through one USB
port. We then had XP put on the computer and now no
other USB port works other than the modem port. Any
ideas?

Presuming that the USB ports are USB 1.1 and on the
motherboard; use device manager to remove all the USB ports
and devices and reboot. They should be re-detected and the
drivers re-installed.

.
try to uninstall all your usb ports and devices, and
restart your computer and see if they are reconized
also, make sure you have the newest drivers for
xp....good luck

Also check in BIOS that none have been disabled. I also believe SP1 fixed
some USB problems, have you installed it?
