The OP may have a laptop with only a ExpressCard slot, anyway, as it is a
new one, which is like PCI-Express as PC Card/PCMCIA is to PCI.

If they map COM1: ~ COM3: then ther's a solution.
However if they map to ports greater than that you won't know how well the software will
work with the serial ports. However, a PCMCIA solution is cheaper, and wortyh the test,
over a replacement laptop.
