I have a Dell Optiplex GX240 and a Dell 128MB USB 'thumb
drive". 8 out of 10 times when I connect the usb drive,
the system reboots.
System is patched up currently.

Thanks in advance

Alan

Do you have this problem when you connect other USB devices? Try running a
Chkdsk on the USB drive and see if it detects errors.
