USB Removeable Drive Crashing System

I have purchased a USB Flash Drive, this utility runs fine
with Windows XP, but soon as you upgrade to Windows XP
Service Pack 1, it starts to crash the system when you
safely remove the drive from the USB port. Has anybody
else experienced this???
