Craig Borrowman

I have a problem with my Windows 2000 USB. When I use a
device (Canon MP 730 Photo Printer or Fuji Finepix A330
digital camera), and connect it to a USB port, it works
for a few minutes, and then just stops working in the
middle of the job. The only way to restart it is to
unplug and replug in the USB cable, and then to restart
the job and pray it lasts long enough to complete the
print, or the photo download. This also happened with my
old printer, so it seems to be a USB problem. Could
someone reccoment a course of action or possible solution
for this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Craig.

If you're using a motherboard with a Via chipset, or even not,
make sure your USB drivers are up to date.

Also, if you're using the same cable for both devices, try a
different cable or different USB port.
