USB printers end VISTA

I have one lexmark p707 with interface USB. Installing the software for XP on
VISTA, I do not succeed to print. Just it succeeds that the icona appears of
written printing with ready, but for the press software printing does not
turn out connected and therefore not to be dialogue with door USB. It depends
on VISTA or the driver?
