Windows XP USB printer port 'lost'

Canon 70i printer port does not communicate. Printer works fine on other computers and did so before on this XP based computer. How match correct port on computer (have two USB ports). There is a virtual USB001.
Bit furstrating - what should I do?

welcome to the forums

Test the USB ports work by using some other USB device ... uninstall all the printer stuff, reinstall as per Canon's instructions.
