Hi,

I would like to have a USB Pen drive autorun with a specific file... would
such a application be available?

TIA

Don't really understand the question, but have you tried a google on
'autorun.inf'? You should find useful info on how to write an
autorun.inf file (that you place in the root of the pen drive) to start
a program or open a file.

Don't know if it works with a pen drive though....

Microsoft has LOTS of info about it here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...l_basics_extending/autorun/autoplay_works.asp

Sadly, they say... "Note Autorun.inf files are not supported under
Microsoft Windows XP for drives that return DRIVE_REMOVABLE from
GetDriveType" so it sounds like any answer may only work in some
machines.

Despite the poor English, this program seems to cover the OPs requirements,
but is it freeware? My French is even poorer, but "Telecharger" to me seems
to indicate that some sort of phone charge is made when or before
downloading. I would advise caution.

Can someone clarify this, please?

"Telecharger" just means to download. I did. Seems to be freeware (maybe
adware?)You must create an "autorun.inf" on your key with the name of
the prog you want to be launched (see example inf zipped file)

I've posted an automatic translation of the original page, but
"telecharger" is a non-traduction: it means simply "download".

In the "read me" ("lisez moi") file (in french) it says only to write in
a text file named "autorun.inf" the pathname of the file to execute. If
you use the option "Lancer au démarrage" (execute at the startup) it
writes something in the registry (this is normal for every startup
program).

P.S. I don't use this software, simply I saw it in another thread

From other replies, it seems that "télécharger" just means "download", so it
seems that my original interpretation was wrong -- but so is the dictionary
definition as it has nothing to do with PDF files.
