USB nightmare

Have you been to your motherbaords web sight and looked
for updates? ...drivers,new bio's,etc.?

When I attach hardware (camera, mini i-pod) to my

computer both the hardware and the computer freeze. I have
uninstalled the USB (both USB1 and USB2) drivers in device
manager, and re-installed. The drivers still have yellow
exclamation marks next to them. Any ideas on how to solve
the issue ?
